Fitout of New Community Hospital in Aviemore

Construction is nearing completion on the new £20m Badenoch & Strathspey Community Hospital at Dalfaber in Aviemore, which Deanestor is fitting out.

Deanestor is working  again with main contractor Balfour Beatty plc, following the successful delivery of two recent education projects - Lossiemouth High School and Linkwood Primary School.

On the Badenoch project, Deanestor is fitting out 120 rooms across the new community hospital, providing FF&E services for areas including the in-patient bedrooms, dental treatment centre, pharmacy, consulting and treatment rooms, staff areas and reception. The fixed furniture – storage cabinets, shelving and worktops – is all manufactured to SHTM63.

Designed by Oberlanders Architects, this valuable new community facility is delivered by hub North Scotland for NHS Highland, and will provide 24 in-patient beds, X-ray services, a minor injuries unit, new ambulance base for the Scottish Ambulance Service, outpatients department, physiotherapy gym, podiatry and dental rooms, and the new Aviemore Medical Practice.
